The GovernorÂs Office of Information Technology (OIT) is looking for a talented communication professional to support the State of ColoradoÂs highly impactful IT initiatives. Work alongside some of ColoradoÂs brightest tech experts as we help transform digital government for our residents.About the RoleAs our new Communications Manager, you will be responsible for setting communication strategies and plans to provide clear, concise and timely messaging to internal and external stakeholders in support of the stateÂs technology programs and projects. You will lead the writing, editing and development of a variety of compelling marketing and communication materials including presentations, web content, newsletters, social media posts, marketing collateral, video scripts and training guides to align with the business goals of OIT. In this role you will partner with project managers and technical subject experts to make sure that the value story of OITÂs work is shared.The ideal candidate for this role is well-organized, an exceptional copywriter, a team player, able to work independently to meet deadlines and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position is accountable for establishing and maintaining a positive image of OIT through targeted, on-brand communication and strong internal and customer relationships.About the TeamThe Communications Office is a group of energetic and collaborative team members who provide a full range of internal and external marketing communications to support OITÂs people, programs, projects and services. This dynamic team executes strategic marcom initiatives to educate and engage a diverse stakeholder group including employees, state agency customers, legislature, local and national press, and the residents of Colorado. The Communications team consists of staff uniquely experienced in customer and employee communications, creative services, media relations, branding and marketing. We work hard and have fun along the way!Key responsibilities: Develop and execute effective, data-driven communication strategies and plans to promote IT initiatives to state agency customers.Determine messaging and branding strategies for target audiences and maintain a positive image of the OIT brand.Produce a variety of written and multimedia content, including video scripts, graphics, email newsletters, one-sheets, FAQs, etc.Lead and manage customer education and awareness campaigns to showcase the value of OITÂs initiatives.Track and report on communication KPIs toward the achievement of organizational goals.Build strong relationships across multiple departments and ensure key stakeholders are consulted and/or informed of communication plans, timelines and decisions.
