Role Purpose The General Manager is responsible for all ground handling operations and administration within Malaysia, ensuring that the delivery of services is safe, consistent, professional, and secure.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee the operational delivery across all facets of the Menzies Aviation (MA) business within Malaysia.
- Full profit & loss responsibility, including building, monitoring, and delivering the annual budget.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, security, and quality assurance standards, including oversight of safety management systems and company directives.
- Lead, manage, and develop team members through effective performance management and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support business objectives.
- Manage airline customer contracts and service level agreements, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and minimising variations.
- Support and oversee the implementation of new airline start-ups as required.
- Drive continuous improvement by automating, streamlining, and simplifying operational processes.
- Strengthen relationships with key customer contacts to support retention and growth opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to maximise revenue and business potential.
- Lead and contribute to projects and organisational change initiative.
- Collaborate with other stations and business areas to share best practices and improve overall performance.
- Travel as required to support operational and business needs.

What We Are Looking For
- Malaysian citizen.
- Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work-related expertise.
- Management experience with budget ownership either at a company or departmental level, preferably within the ground handling, aviation, or logistics industry.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build existing relationships and identify new customer and business opportunities.
- Proven ability to lead and manage senior managers, with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated leadership and senior management capability, with a strong focus on people development.
- Ability to travel as required, and effectively present, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with independence, decisiveness, and the ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to influence, engage, and motivate teams across all levels of the organisation.
- Flexible, driven, and self-motivated, with a strong determination to succeed.
- Extensive knowledge of Menzies Aviation operations, the airline industry, ground handling environment, and relevant regulatory requirements.
