<p>Our client, a major US parking operator, has partnered with our organization to build and manage a custom, enterprise-grade product that will impact millions of users. This highly complex solution is central to their operations and is characterized by<span> </span><strong>extensive APIs and integrations</strong><span> </span>across various platforms, while combining cloud-native applications with critical on-site hardware & custom software, demanding requirements for<span> </span><strong>high performance and uptime</strong>, requiring failovers, extensive error handling, and seamless data synchronization.</p><p></p><p>This project includes establishing the technical foundation for<span> </span><strong>machine learning</strong><span> </span>capabilities, custom software development, and designing<span> </span><strong>repeatable, scalable templates</strong><span> </span>to facilitate a national market rollout.</p><h5>About the Role</h5><p>We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect that, as part of our small, agile studio, is the definitive technical authority responsible for the overall system design, architectural integrity, and long-term sustainability of the platform. You will ensure technical decisions align with business goals and that the engineering team has clear, standardized patterns to follow. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in distributed systems, security, and cloud architecture.</p><p>The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader, capable of driving high-level system design and architecture decisions. They are expected to demonstrate foresight, strategic planning, and meticulous documentation practices. Furthermore, they will possess a resilient, ownership-oriented mindset critical for navigating complex problem resolution and providing sustained technical stewardship.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Architectural Strategy and Design: Define the end-to-end technical architecture of the solution, including service boundaries, data models, integration patterns, and technology selection across both cloud and on-premise components.</p></li><li><p>Distributed Systems Mastery: Design highly available and resilient IOT & cloud systems that seamlessly manage data synchronization, failover, and extensive error handling between local installations and the centralized cloud infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>Performance and Scalability: Establish architectural standards to meet rigorous high performance, high uptime, and scalability requirements, including designing deployment templates for efficient nationwide adoption.</p></li><li><p>Technical Governance: Own and govern the implementation of technical standards, security protocols, and engineering best practices (e.g., CI/CD, monitoring, testing) across the development lifecycle.</p></li><li><p>Integration and Legacy Systems: Define the strategy and technical mechanisms for integrating modern cloud services with a variety of existing, legacy on-premise hardware and software applications.</p></li></ul><p>Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide high-level technical guidance to the development team, review complex designs and code, and communicate architectural vision clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (client, product owner).<br><br><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li><p>Architectural Leadership and Domain Expertise</p></li><li><p>8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a dedicated Solutions Architect or Principal Engineer role.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in modern web technologies (TypeScript, NodeJS, Python) and a strong understanding of full-stack technologies sufficient to guide the engineering team.</p></li><li><p>Capable of implementing and shaping a team around advanced AI tools, techniques, and approaches.</p></li><li><p>Expertise in Cloud Architecture (Azure), including deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures.</p></li><li><p>Mandatory experience designing and building IOT systems that require real-time synchronization, failover mechanisms, and resilience between cloud and on-premise/edge computing environments.</p></li><li><p>Deep knowledge of API and integration patterns (e.g., Microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways) required to handle extensive integrations.</p></li><li><p>Experience in Machine Learning (ML) MLOps and architecture, specifically designing the data pipeline and service layer for integrating ML models into enterprise applications.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to define non-functional requirements such as security architectures for both cloud environments and distributed local installations, performance, reliability) and translate them into actionable, testable architectural components.</p></li><li><p>Excellent ability to document and communicate complex architectural decisions to technical teams and present them clearly to client stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Teamwork, Communication, & Workflows</strong></p><ul><li><p>Fluent English speaking ability is essential for effective collaboration with the client and team in a professional setting.</p></li><li><p>Must be a team-oriented leader capable of working collaboratively in a small, agile environment, fostering high quality and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional communication skills (written & vertebral) for presenting architectural vision to both technical and non-technical executives, negotiating trade-offs, and ensuring transparent alignment.</p></li><li><p>Leads the adoption and refinement of development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps), establishing best practices for high-quality, scalable system delivery and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Acts as a key technical leader, driving team success, mentoring engineers, and fostering collective technical excellence.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Medical insurance</p><p>Life insurance coverage</p><p>Dental benefits</p><p>Lunch card</p><p></p><h5>PROPOSAL:</h5><ul><li><p>Salary range: Confidential.</p></li><li><p>Type of contract: Contractor</p></li><li><p>Working mode: remote - Only Colombia. <br></p></li></ul><p><strong>WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT FROM OTHER CANDIDATES?</strong></p><p>Keep your profile updated with your main technical milestones.
