Sr. Director Sales and Business Development<p><b>Essential Responsibilities</b><br><i>Sales Leadership & Strategy</i><br>•    Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue, market share, and profitability goals. <br>•    Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Directors, Area Sales Managers, and independent distributors. <br>•    Establish performance objectives, monitor results, and implement corrective actions as needed. <br>•    Drive accountability through regular business reviews, forecasting, and performance management. <br>Business Development<br>•    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and integrated delivery networks. <br>•    Develop strategic relationships with key spine surgeons, physician groups, and healthcare executives. <br>•    Support product launches and commercialization efforts across the region. <br>•    Expand adoption of enabling technologies, biologics, implants, navigation, and robotics platforms. <br><i>Customer & Market Engagement</i><br>•    Serve as an executive-level representative with key customers and strategic accounts. <br>•    Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform growth strategies. <br>•    Partner with Marketing, Clinical Education, Operations, and Product Development teams to optimize customer experience. <br>Financial Management<br>•    Own regional revenue forecasts, budgets, and expense management. <br>•    Monitor sales metrics and business performance indicators. <br>•    Develop action plans to maximize profitability and resource allocation. <br><i>Talent Development</i><br>•    Create a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer success. <br><i>Compliance & Quality</i><br>•    Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and healthcare compliance standards. <br>•    Maintain adherence to FDA regulations, Sunshine Act requirements, and applicable healthcare laws. <br> </p><p><b>Qualifications</b><br><i>Required</i><br>•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field. <br>•    10+ years of progressive medical device sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role. <br>•    Demonstrated success leading large geographic regions within the spine, orthopedic, or surgical device industry. <br>•    Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving market share growth. <br>•    Experience managing direct and distributor-based sales organizations. <br>•    Strong financial acumen, forecasting, and strategic planning skills. <br>•    Ability to travel up to 60–75% throughout the East Coast region. <br><i>Preferred</i><br>•    MBA or advanced business degree. <br>•    Experience with spinal implants, biologics, enabling technologies, navigation, or robotics platforms. <br>•    Established relationships with key spine surgeons and healthcare systems across the East Coast. <br> </p><p><b>Key Competencies</b><br>•    Strategic Leadership <br>•    Revenue Growth & Market Expansion <br>•    Executive Presence <br>•    Negotiation & Influence <br>•    Team Development & Coaching <br>•    Healthcare Industry Expertise <br>•    Data-Driven Decision Making <br>•    Change Management <br>•    Customer Relationship Management <br> </p><p><b>Success Measures</b><br>•    Achievement of annual revenue and profitability targets. <br>•    Market share growth within assigned geography. <br>•    New account acquisition and product adoption. <br>•    Sales team retention, engagement, and development. <br>•    Forecast accuracy and operational excellence. <br>•    Customer satisfaction and strategic account growth.<br> </p>
